This is an antique kantha quilt that has been overdyed with indigo, and block printed.
It is the last of a collection I bought a few seasons ago…
Soft, but weighted and textured. This piece has been sewn with many layers- creating thickness. In some places, the top layer of fabric is wearing out, revealing the internal layers, and creating texture.
Stitching is detailed with a bold red stitch at intervals.
