Vintage shell dish

Absolutely gorgeous one-off find! 

Vintage silver metal, clam-shell dish, in my mind- probably used as a soap dish. Found in India… but not very Indian. On my invoice however, the seller has called it a spoon stand ….. so I guess it’s function is open to interpretation!
