Antique hanging diya

A beautiful old Indian hanging diya (oil lamp).

Made from brass, and fashioned like a 7 petal lotus flower, this diya is heavy and has a beautiful ornate chain and hook.

**A diya is traditionally used with a cotton wick dipped in ghee or vegetable oils during religious festivals such as Diwali.....the light from candles or an oil lamp representing enlightenment, knowledge or wisdom.
