Antique cosmetic tins

These two antique brass cosmetic tins, have a refined elegant style with understated jaali motifs, and beautifully ornate ends.

Once used to store finely ground limescale (chuna) that was used to brighten the skin, these tins are traditionally called ‘lime boxes’. Both ends are removable. 

These would look beautiful if kept as a pair !
