Extra Large Textured Antique Kantha in Light Blue

This is a beautiful antique kantha quilt, extremely large with detailed embroidery. 

As is the nature of antique kantha, as they are washed and used over decades, they become timeworn, which can create texture as the top layers begin to frey and reveal the underneath layers of the quilt.

This quilt has significant texture and some freying along the edges, but is just as beautiful in this version of its life.

1. Pale blue with thick dark blue diamond embroidery and kantha stitch.

2. Blue, green and brown checked dhoti, with a reveal  of pink underneath. 

Heavy, winter weight.
