XL Vintage brass chai pot

A fabulous extra large chai pot, a wonderful, authentic piece as seen used on the streets of India everywhere…. 

Traditionally chai is brewed in a large pot and then strained into a teapot for pouring. The act of double pouring the tea, helps to cool it down before being sipped from a chai glass….

This vintage brass piece has a generous capacity of 3.2 litres.

NB: the last photo shows it’s size in comparison to my regular teapots (950ml)
