Lotus clay dias- set of 5

Cute terracotta dias with an ornate lotus pattern, found in a street stall in Rajasthan.

This dia is bigger than the little ones, approximately palm sized at 8cm, sold in a set of 5.

Made by hand, these are very humble little pieces used as ghee/oil lamps for puja.

I purchased a small box of these diyas in honour of the upcoming festival of Diwali, ( Sanskrit: row of lights) where these are lit en masse in honour of Lakshmi, to celebrate the victory of light over darkness, or good over evil.

Sold in a set of 5

NB: as these are inexpensive clay pieces, they may show signs of crumbling, or imperfections.
