Very soft and lightweight.

The stitching in this quilt is tiny, and changes directions, highlighting the time and love that went into sewing it!

Antique kantha quilts are a labour of love and time, hand sewn by a woman for her own family.

Layering old saris and the checked lungi worn by the men of the village, and quilting them together with the tiniest of stitches, often in lovely geometric patterns, taking weeks to make.

As genuine antiques, these pieces may have patches and darns, freying layers and small marks. These are all a part of the items unique history and not considered as flaws.
