A large, light weight, textured quilt. This piece has layers that are starting to wear, creating texture as the inbetween layers are revealed. 

Beautiful antique kantha quilts are a labour of love and time, hand sewn by a woman for her own family.

Layering old saris and the checked lungi worn by the men of the village, and quilting them together with the tiniest of stitches, often in lovely geometric patterns, taking weeks to make.

As genuine antiques, these pieces may have patches and darns, freying layers and small marks. These are all a part of the items unique history and not considered as flaws.
